Yet again, we had another perfect sunny weekend! This time it was my brothers turn to get married and I was lucky enough to be one of the bridesmaids. They got married in St. Andrews Church, Cheddar and then went on to The Batch in Weston Super Mare for the reception.
The morning started with Champagne breakfast, then hair and make-up and a nervous wait for Nicole!
Nicole and her Dad arrived in style in a Mustang and the bridesmaids had a ride to the church in a VW Campervan- Perfect!
Nicole looked stunning and the service went without a hitch. My sister read a poem she had written for them which left only a few dry eyes and was a perfect touch.
Its always nice to have the 6 of us back together again!
Instead each table was named after a country Adam and Nicole had been to over the 8 years they have been together. In the centre of each table I made a card which had the flag of the country and photographs from their holiday. The tables had matching name cards for each table and the table plan to complete the set! My sister-in-law Kat made biscuit favours with the flags on as well which were delicious!
The speeches were funny, touching and not too long! Food was good and we had drinks in the sunshine afterwards.
I hope they have an amazing honeymoon in Kenya and a big thank you to Nicole for having me as a bridesmaid, I had an amazing day!
Apart from the wedding it has been a busy week! With orders trickling in both online, by phone and friends, there has definitely been an increase in sales which is reassuring. Handmade in Bradford are selling a large selection of my products and have only been open a couple of months but sales are great.
I joined http://www.fromthewilde.com last month and they have borrowed some wedding bunting for a photo shoot and a couple of journalists have downloaded my “Something Blue’ pocket mirror image which will hopefully be published over the next few months.
I still need to increase the traffic to my website and gain more online sales, I need to improve my google ratings but everythings still heading in the right direction.
The best part of the working week has been sewing in the sunshine! x
